Pumpkin - 500g
-
Dried Red Chilli - 4
-
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
-
Curry leaves - few
-
Jaggery - 250g
-
Rice flour - 3 tsp
-
Coconut grated - 2 tblsp

Oil for seasoning
-
Water - as required
-
Salt - to taste
Ingredients for Oval shaped rice dough balls:

Rice flour - 1/2 cup
-
Coconut Shredded - 1/4 cup
-
Salt - to taste
-
Hot Water - required
Method :
Method to make Rice dough balls :

Mix rice flour, shredded coconut, salt and required amount of water to make a thick dough.

Take 0.5 cm wide ball and roll it into a oval shaped dough ball.

Repeat it until all the dough is finished.
Method:

Heat oil in a pan. Add dried chilli, mustard seeds, curry leaves and a little turmeric powder.

Add the chopped pumpkin, salt and 1/2 a cup of water; Cover and allow it to cook.

Take jaggery in another saucepan, add water and make it into a thin paste.

Filter this paste in a strainer to get rid of the any grits.

Mix rice flour with little water and add it to the cooked pumpkin.

Add the paste made from jaggery to the cooked pumpkin as well.

Add the dough balls and grated coconut to the cooked pumpkin.

Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes.
