Ingredients :

Chopped coriander leaves - 1/2 tblsp

Salt - to taste

Oil - 250ml for deep frying
Ingredients to be ground:

Minced Lamb/Mutton - 300g

Onion chopped - 6 tblsp

Ginger-Garlic paste - 4 tsp
-
Green Chilli - 3
-
Cinnamon - 1 inch long strip
-
Cloves - 2
-
Cardamom - 2
-
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp (optional)
-
Grated Coconut - 5 tblsp

Roasted gram dal - 4 tblsp

Lemon juice - 2 tsp
Method :

Grate the onion, chilli, coconut coarsely and coriander leaves finely.

Rinse the meat and drain it well.

First grind the roasted gram dal, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom without the shell and poppy seeds without any water in a dry mill. Then combine all the other ingredients listed under ingredients to be ground; grind them without water.If the blender does not grind the meat without water, then grind them in 2 batches.

Combine the ground meat, ground roasted gram dal powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt and chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Make them into 3cm balls.

Heat a deep frying pan on medium heat and add oil.

Fry the meat balls 5-6 at a time in oil until they become golden brown.
Notes : This dish can be served as an appetizer in the parties or as a side-dish for Lunch/Dinner. It can also be added to the Lamb curry instead of Lamb pieces.
