Coorg chicken fry
Coorg chicken fry is a dry and spicy chicken made with the marinade of Indian spices.

Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken cut into small pieces - 500g
Onion - 1 medium
Lemon juice - 1 tblsp
Oil - 50ml or 3 tblsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Grated coconut - 1 tblsp
Salt - to taste
Marinade:
Green Chilli - 2
Ginger - 1 inch long and 3/4 inch wide piece
Garlic - 5 cloves
Cumin (Jeera) seeeds - 1 tsp
Pepper corn - 2 tsp
Lemon juice - 2½ tblsp
Method:
Grind all the ingredients listed under Marinade into a smooth paste.
Marinate the chicken pieces with the ground marinade paste and salt for about 2-3 hours.
Chop the onion. Rinse the curry leaves. Grind the grated coconut with little water.
Heat a pan and add oil.
Add the chopped onion and half of curry leaves and fry for about 4-5 minutes.
Add the chicken pieces and ground coconut to the pan; stir, cover and cook on low heat for about 5-6 minutes.
Sprinkle water if needed.
Add lemon juice.
Garnish with curry leaves.
Coorg chicken fry is ready to be served.

This dish can be served as an appetizer.
