Bhindi/Okra pakora can be a side-dish/starter for lunch. Tempura like dish is a healthier way of eating the vegetable. |

Bhindi - 250g
-
Besan(Gram Flour) - 100g

Ground Rice - 50g
-
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
-
Asafoetida - 2 pinch

Oil - 2 tblsp

Oil - 250ml for frying

Salt - to taste

Water - as required

Method: |

Remove head and tail from bhindi. Slit the vegetable into two or three pieces.

Combine besan, ground rice, chilli powder, 2 tblsp of oil, salt and asafoetida.

Add the vegetable to the flour mix and set it aside for 15 minutes.

If the mix is too dry, add 2-3 table spoons of water and mix well.

Deep fry the vegetables in the oil batch by batch.
